This is a family run butchers that is used by many of the best restaurants in the city. Higgins sources great meat, some even from their own farm and their beef is particularly prized. They experiment with ageing their steaks and have a great selection of other meats. It is on the other side of the city to us, but we try to go there whenever we are in the vicinity.
This butcher in Ranelagh is not only stocked with beautiful aged beef cuts, but their other meats are very well sourced too. Excellent and skilled service - a proper butchers. They do delivery and click and collect too, which is handy as there can be a queue.
Chef Niall Sabongi set up Sustainable Seafood Ireland in 2013 and it has grown to be one of the favourite fish providers among the capital's restaurants. Now you can get next day delivery at home of some of the best and freshest seafood around.
A coffee roasters based in Dublin city. They roast speciality coffee, mostly organic and aim to produce zero waste. 2% of their turnover goes to charities such as Women's Aid. Best of all, the aromatic and complex coffee beans that we regularly get are always a delicious and much-needed start to our day. You get free shipping on orders over 1kg.
This fantastic, family owned wine shop in Kilkenny specialises in low intervention, organic and sustainable wines - Le Caveau source some really amazing bottles. And they offer fast delivery all over Ireland.
It is tiny, indeed too small for its popularity, but stocks a great cheese selection, both top Irish and continental cheeses. A great place to assemble a good cheeseboard. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to make a recommendation.
One of Ireland's amazing cheese producers and definitely one of our favourites. They have an amazing selection of goats cheese and you can buy a gourmet Irish cheese selection box including others like Hegartys Cheddar and Crozier Blue.
Stocking a compelling collection, including many small and up-and-coming winemakers, the wines here have been sourced based on their quality. They are constantly adding new wines to their catalogue which means there is always something new to try. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to recommend a wine. They have great wines for every budget and a fine wine room in the back. It has a restaurant too and we regularly go for breakfast.
We bake a lot and our sourdough starter needs to be fed. So we go through a lot of flour and we buy in bulk from Kells Wholemeal. It works out as great value for top quality flour. They have a large variety of different flours and mixes.
Cavistons is one of the best fish shops in the city. Get there early to check what they have in store and you will usually find a great selection. The staff are always helpful and friendly. There is a great selection of organic meat and game when it is in season. Also, they have a nice deli, a great pantry and some top-quality organic fruit and vegetables.
The Asia Market is now delivering, so we got all the ingredients we needed to make some of our favourite Asian dishes straight to our door. We make a lot of curry pastes at home and this is where we get the ingredients.
Green Man Wines is an independent wine shop in Dublin 6. They stock a fantastic array of interesting wines and have an excellent online shop. They provide speedy delivery nationwide!
The Nude Wine Company, based in Naas County Kildare, stocks a fantastic selection of wines, sourced by industry expert Michelle Lawlor. Many brilliant wines for around the €20 mark and Nude Wine offer prompt delivery all over Ireland.
This is a great fish shop run by Gannet fishmongers in Galway and they deliver all around the country if, like us, you can't make it to Galway. We ordered oysters, mussels and Dublin bay prawns, and they all arrived really fresh. It is excellent value too.
We had some Achill Mountain Lamb in Aimsir restaurant and a few days later we ordered half a lamb on their website for ourselves. The taste is simply amazing. They have their own farm, abattoir and butchers, so they control the whole process to deliver such great quality.
An online wine shop, wine club and community set up by Jérémy Delannoy. They have some great wines and you can even get mystery boxes from some of the country's best sommeliers and wine experts. Very speedy delivery too.
Possibly the best potatoes we have ever eaten - so full of flavour they are a meal all by themselves. A fantastic variety to buy on their online shop and great value. They are versatile too, from salads to chips.
This is really nice shop full of excellent produce. There is a large supermarket across the road but we much prefer spending our money here. Pasta, condiments, fruit and vegetables are all good here.
Cloudpicker make really great coffee, so being able to get a delivery of their coffee beans to our door has been great. You get free shipping on order over 1kg too, which in our house doesn't last very long.
A foodhall with a good selection of organic and local fruit and vegetables and an inspiring collection of fine foods for your larder. There is also a decent butchers and cheese selection.
